Covid-19 Vaccination Policy

Introduction
Saltbush, Balnarring Beach (formerly Presentation Family Centre) is committed to providing a safe environment for staff, volunteers, guests and all who share our spaces.

The Victorian Government has announced that effective from Friday 22nd April 2022, evidence of vaccination will no longer be required in most venues. This change reflects the high vaccination rate of people 16 years+ in Australia.

Following on from this announcement, Saltbush, Balnarring Beach no longer requires guests to
show evidence of vaccination.

Furthermore, evidence suggests that Covid is less likely to spread outdoors. As such, Saltbush have adjusted this policy to reflect that understanding.

The purpose of this Policy is to provide clarity to staff, guests, volunteers, and contractors about the requirement to be vaccinated, and the method of providing evidence of vaccination.

Guests are not required to show evidence of vaccination.

1. Staff – all staff on site are required to be vaccinated unless medically exempt.

2. Volunteers – all volunteers engaged to work indoors with guests are required to be vaccinated unless medically exempt.

3. Program Facilitators and Providers – all program facilitators and providers engaged to work indoors with guests are required to be vaccinated unless medically exempt.

4. Contractors – cleaners are required to be vaccinated unless medically exempt.

The following is accepted as evidence of vaccination:

• • Covid-19 digital certificate using the Service Victoria App
  • Covid-19 digital certificate in a smart phone wallet
  • Printed copy of Covid-19 digital certificate
  • Printed copy of Immunisation History Statement
  • Medical certificate or letter from an authorised medical practitioner

Evidence of medical exemption requires an exemption certificate issued via the MyGov website. Guests seeking a medical exemption certificate should complete an exemption form via the Australian Immunisation Register.
