Where is Saltbush?

Saltbush is located at 122 Balnarring Beach Rd, Balnarring Beach on the Mornington Peninsula.

What is there to do at Saltbush?

Saltbush is in a quiet residential area, close to the beach and walking tracks, and with farming properties close by.

 

Within walking distance is:

  • Balnarring Beach
  • Walking tracks
  • Balnarring Village shops with supermarket, chemist, cafes and restaurants
  • Balnarring Village Common (a regenerated native garden area with seating)
  • Community skate park and playground

 

There are six houses and a playground on site, and acreage at the rear of the property with regenerated Indigenous bushland, and a labyrinth that guests can explore.

 

The Mornington Peninsula is known for its beautiful natural environment, walking/bike tracks, beaches, wineries, historical sites (Coolart Homestead), picturesque neighbouring towns, and various markets throughout the year.

What is provided in houses?

We provide:

  • Fitted sheets, pillows with pillowcases
  • Basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils
  • Kettle
  • Microwave
  • One tea towel and basic cleaning tools
  • Washing machine
  • Television
  • Heating/cooling
  • Wi-Fi
What should I bring?

You need to bring:

  • Towels and bathmats
  • Food
  • Flat sheets (if desired)
Should I bring my own kitchenware/coffeepots?

Please be advised that we have induction stovetops in all houses. Only pots, pans, and stovetop coffee pots designed for induction stovetops will work.

Pots and pans are provided in each house, and a kettle and coffee plunger for coffee.

Where do I park?

Each house has its own parking spaces. Any additional cars can use the office carpark, or park at the rear of the property.

Do you have Wi Fi?

Yes. The Code is in the welcome books and on the wall in the kitchen. Please note, the Wi-Fi is not suitable for downloading or streaming services.

What programs do you run at Saltbush?

Guests can holiday independently at Saltbush or join us for school holiday programs and retreats.

How many days can I stay?

The minimum number of nights stay at Saltbush is 2 nights. An fee is charged for cleaning costs for bookings less than 3 nights, for full rate bookings, and for groups. Please see the rates for more information.

When and how do I check in?

You may check in to your house after 2pm on your booking date.  This is remote check in, you do not have to come to the office to check in. All the information for checking into your house will be provided to you before arrival.

When and how do I check out?

Check out is 10am on the date of your departure. This allows our cleaners to prepare the houses for the next guests.   Please leave the keys in the key safe outside the houses.

On the day of check-out, leave the house clean and tidy, and remove used fitted sheet and used pillowcases and place them in the laundry bags located in the laundry.  Please DO NOT remove the mattress protectors.

What is the cost per night?

How many rooms/beds in each house?

Each house has 3 or 4 bedrooms and sleeps between 6-10 people. See accommodation.

Does Saltbush provide food?

No.  Please bring your own food.

Can I bring my dog?

Only assistance dogs are allowed on the premises, and verifiable certification must be provided prior to arrival.

Who do I contact if I am a guest needing help after hours?

In all emergencies, please call 000.

For non-emergencies, during 9-3pm, please call the office.

If the matter is urgent, please call (03) 5929 3066. Please leave a message with the reason for your call.

Is there a staff member on site when I check in?

The office is open between 9am-3pm from Monday to Friday. When checking in past 3pm, there will not be staff  on site, but you can call (03) 5929 3066 if there are any issues.

What safety measures are in place to protect guests?

Saltbush has a COVID safe plan that includes cleaning by experienced cleaners and contactless booking processes.
